Cancelling Cancel Culture
Humiliation will not help someone be better.
What is Cancel Culture?
It is the act of withdrawing one's support to that person and their projects or life works. It can happen to both celebrities and common people.
A modern form of ostracizing where the person is forcibly thrust out of a professional or social circle by a huge amount of people.

Why is Cancel Culture Harmful?
Cancel Culture creates a hazardous and unhealthy place for people in numerous social media platforms.
It is toxic and destructive to the cancelled person's mental health; isolation from the people you once called friends and receiving hate messages aren't exactly helpful to one's mental health.

Has it always been this way?
No! In fact, it was successful in combating relevant issues like sexism, racism, and other social inequalities. It aided in situations where justice needs to be served. The roots of cancel culture can be found throughout human history.
(e.g. banishment)
However, when it started to become an online trend, other people would start throwing baseless claims as long as it agrees with the opinion of the majority because they know everyone else got their back. This mob mentality is what makes Cancel Culture toxic.

What Must Be Done
Cancel culture needs to be stopped. Cancelled. Finished.
We need to be reminded that everything isn't just black and white. People make mistakes, and from these mistakes, they learn to grow and become the better version of themselves.
To address someone for their wrongful behaviors, we need to do it the right way. Read beyond headlines and media manipulation, in other words, be critical about what you read or hear. Learn to be patient and just. Teach them, persuade them, and argue with them until they perceive and understand what needs to be seen.

“When you say someone is canceled, it’s not a TV show. It’s a human being. You’re sending mass amounts of messaging to this person to either shut up, disappear, or it could also be perceived as, Kill yourself.”
-Taylor Swift
